Many things keep us from giving out the Gospel?
- Fear and Anxiety
- Persecution from others
- Not knowing what to say to the lost
- People gossiping about us or trying to avoid us
- Losing our job
Giving out the Gospel is a spiritual battle. We are fighting Satan, and the world, but perhaps our greatest enemy is our own flesh. If you're here it's a good sign that you care what God wants you to do and that many people are leaving this world without Christ.
God commands us to GO and PREACH, which is another way of saying, give out the Gospel. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," Mark 16:15. As we GO, we must prepare for spiritual battle by wearing the christian armor every day.
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
As a new christian you will not have mastered the Christian Armor, but God still wants you to spread the Gospel. Don't be afraid, your faith in God and His grace and mercy will protect and empower you to do His will. Further down this page we will list some ideas that any christian, even new christians can use to spread the Gospel. However, it is still imperative to start protecting yourself with the Christian Armor right away.
